At Healing Roots Health and Wellness, we are looking for a Psychometrist who brings professionalism, accuracy, and care to their role and understands the important part they play in delivering high-quality psychological assessment services.
You thrive in a structured and detail-oriented environment and are able to administer and score psychological assessments with consistency and accuracy. You take pride in following standardized testing procedures, maintaining assessment integrity, and ensuring assessment data is collected and documented appropriately.
You understand that your role is a key part of the assessment process. From creating a comfortable testing environment to providing accurate scoring and detailed behavioural observations, your work contributes directly to the quality and reliability of assessment outcomes.
You are organized, proactive, and able to manage testing materials, documentation, and timelines effectively. You are comfortable working with individuals of varying ages and presenting concerns while maintaining professionalism, empathy, and appropriate boundaries throughout the assessment process.
You work closely with psychologists to ensure scoring, behavioural observations, and assessment materials are completed accurately and within established timelines to support report completion and client feedback sessions.
You value teamwork, communication, and accountability and collaborate effectively with psychologists, administrative staff, and leadership. You are open to feedback, committed to ongoing learning, and dedicated to maintaining high professional standards in your work.

Key Responsibilities
- Administering standardized psychological and psychoeducational assessments under the supervision of a senior registered psychologist while adhering to established testing procedures, assessment protocols, and professional standards.
- Scoring assessment measures accurately and within established timelines.
- Completing behavioural observations and preparing assessment-related documentation for review by the supervising psychologist.
- Supporting psychologists throughout the assessment process to facilitate timely report completion and client feedback sessions.
- Maintaining accurate, organized, and timely clinical documentation in accordance with clinic policies, privacy legislation, and professional standards.
- Managing assessment materials, testing resources, and assessment data while ensuring proper security, confidentiality, and organization.
- Supporting assessment intake processes and gathering relevant background information as needed.
- Communicating professionally with clients, families, psychologists, administrative staff, and other team members.
- Participating in team meetings, case consultations, training activities, and quality assurance initiatives as required.
- Adhering to all ethical, legal, regulatory, and professional standards, including PIPEDA, PHIPA, and applicable assessment guidelines.
- Assisting with the development, review, and maintenance of assessment-related policies, procedures, workflows, and training materials.
- Completing administrative and operational projects on an as-needed basis to support assessment services, psychologists, and clinic operations.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a clinical, research, assessment, or mental health-related role preferred.
- Previous experience as a Psychometrist or administering and scoring standardized psychological assessments is highly preferred.
- Strong interest in psychological assessment and diagnostic processes.
- Knowledge of psychological assessment principles, standardized testing procedures, and DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria is an asset.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to contribute to clear, organized assessment documentation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
- High level of attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of PHIPA, privacy legislation, and professional standards related to psychological assessment is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital documentation systems.
