We often forget the powerful strength we have inside of us because of the challenges life confronts us with. Life’s challenges can sometimes cause confusion in our perception of the world around us. Many individuals struggle with ongoing experiences related to their relationships, spirituality, cultural identity, and so much more which can further complicate their journey of self-discovery and personal growth.

 I utilize a holistic (mind, body, spirit), integrative, and strengths-based approach throughout the therapeutic process to accommodate each client’s unique experiences, needs, and goals for therapy. My goal is to empower clients to rediscover their internal resilience to help them to face life’s challenges with confidence, as well as collaboratively work to improve their overall well-being and quality of life. As a passionate psychotherapist, I am dedicated to helping clients rediscover their joy and get back into the driver’s seat of life.

I strive to create a safe, trusting, inclusive, and non-judgemental space where clients can feel comfortable sharing their lived experiences with me, as well as explore and make sense of their struggles. With the help of humour and diving into the different realms of an identity, we can uncover valuable insights that contribute to personal growth, self-acceptance, and a sense of fulfillment. My goal is to empower clients to embrace their unique strength, integrate their beliefs and values, and find greater meaning and purpose in their lives.

Alexandra's Experience

Alexandra is a Registered Psychotherapist and a Yorkville University graduate with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Over the last year, she has worked at worked with Healing Roots Therapy working with a range of issues: anxiety, self-esteem, spirituality/religion, stress, burnout, school issues, self-exploration/meaning making and growth, athletics, and depression. Alexandra has shown interest in the Science of Well-being and has recently completed ASIST training. Before Alexandra began her journey in the mental health field, she achieved a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre & Film from McMaster University and worked at Walt Disney World.
