Bio At A Glance:

Daniella is a Registered Psychotherapist offering in-person and online therapy in Mississauga and across Ontario. She provides compassionate, evidence-based support for teens and adults navigating body image concerns, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem challenges. Daniella is trained in the Gottman Method and also works with individuals and couples addressing relationship difficulties, trust issues, and emotional well-being.

I believe that therapy should be an authentic and sincere experience, one in which you feel understood, heard, and seen as you are. Struggling with body image concerns can feel isolating and overwhelming. You may worry about being judged, feel shame about your relationship with your body, or fear that others won’t understand what you’re going through.

It is not uncommon for us to feel stressed or overwhelmed as a result of life’s challenges, and body images often develop as a way to cope with difficult emotions, trauma, perfectionism, or life transitions. We will work collaboratively so that we can accomplish your individual goals and needs. I believe that you are the real expert of your life, and it would be my pleasure to walk alongside you as you embark on this journey of healing and personal growth.

I utilize an integrative approach to therapy, carefully drawing from a variety of evidence-based therapeutic models including CBT, DBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care that are tailored to meet the unique and individual needs and goals of every client. Whether you’re working to heal your relationship with food, challenge negative body image thoughts, develop healthier coping strategies, or address underlying anxiety and depression, I’m here to support you.

I aim to create a solid therapeutic relationship and safe space where you can express yourself fully, without fear of judgment, in order to foster compassionate relationships with yourself and others.

Answers to some frequently asked questions:

The first session is a space for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We will explore your current concerns, relevant life experiences, relationships, and goals for therapy at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental, with the intention of helping you feel safe, supported, and understood from the very beginning.

I support couples in strengthening communication, rebuilding trust, deepening emotional connection, and navigating conflict in healthier ways. I am certified in the Gottman Method Levels 1 & 2, which allows me to integrate evidence-based tools and interventions into our work together. Couples therapy is not about determining who is “right” or “wrong,” but about helping both partners feel heard, understood, and more connected within the relationship.

Many clients come to therapy feeling emotionally exhausted from constantly overthinking, self-criticizing, people-pleasing, or holding themselves to unrealistic standards. Together, we work to better understand the underlying experiences and patterns contributing to anxiety, perfectionism, and struggles with self-worth while building healthier coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and self-compassion. Therapy can also provide space to process relationship challenges, burnout, childhood traumas, or life stressors that may be impacting how you see yourself and relate to others.

Yes! I offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions to support the different needs and lifestyles of my clients. Virtual therapy can provide flexibility, comfort, and accessibility, while in-person sessions offer a dedicated space for connection and reflection. Together, we can determine which option feels most supportive and appropriate for you.
