Monique's Experience

I am Registered Psychotherapist and I completed my Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality with a concentration in working with Couples and Families. I believe that therapy is not just about addressing our thoughts, emotions and needs, but also about helping clients build a meaningful relationship with others/themselves as well as connecting to something greater than themselves.

Immediately after graduating, I decided to take a leap of faith and start my own private practice within my hometown of Mississauga. As a therapist that offered individual, couple and family therapy, I found myself drawn to cultivating a safe space where people can work towards meaningful and sustainable change in themselves, their relationships and life. My hopes and values for Healing Roots Therapy are to help create a safe place where individuals can explore and make meaning of who they are in a holistic manner by not only attending to their thoughts, emotions and behaviours but also nurturing a space to gain more understanding of the connection held between body, mind and spirit.
