Bio At A Glance:

Katarina is a Registered Psychotherapist offering in-person anxiety therapy in Mississauga and virtual therapy across Ontario. She provides compassionate, evidence-based support for children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, stress, and burnout.

Living with anxiety can feel overwhelming, whether it shows up as constant worry, panic attacks, or avoiding situations that make you uncomfortable. You might also be navigating depression, struggling with self-esteem, or facing challenges in your relationships or family. Starting therapy is a significant step towards improving your mental and emotional well-being, and I’m here to support you through it.

I am confident that the therapeutic relationship is at the core of effective treatment. My approach is client-centered, meaning that I prioritize each individual’s unique needs, values, and goals throughout our therapeutic journey. Together, we will identify and explore the strengths and resources you possess to overcome challenges and foster resilience so you can live a healthier, more fulfilling life.

I strive to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I tailor my therapeutic approach to each individual’s unique needs, recognizing that no two journeys are the same. I draw on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness techniques, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS is a parts-based approach that helps individuals understand and work with different aspects of themselves (or “parts”) that influence thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, allowing for greater self-compassion, healing, and internal balance.

Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, or life transitions, my goal is to work collaboratively with you to develop effective strategies and insights that promote healing and personal growth.
